About us
Housing Office is a part of housing association De Huismeesters in Groningen since 1st of January 2010. It used to be a foundation, funded by the Rijksuniversity of Groningen (RUG) and the Hanze University of Groningen (HG). For strategic reasons it has now been integrated in the organisation of De Huismeesters.
De Huismeesters/ Housing Office is a non-profit organisation. The fees and rent paid by our guests do not fully cover all Housing Office costs. To manage our International Student Houses we still need a financial contribution from both the RUG and the HG, also because most beds are empty during the summer with no rental income.
Housing Office is closely related to other housing associations in Groningen too. We let our buildings from these organisations as to sublet and manage them for our foreign guests. Our office can still be found at De Huismeesters, Friesestraatweg 18 in Groningen.
