Already for many years Blekerslaan is a Housing Office International Student Houses. It is located in a popular students' quarter of Groningen, the Oosterpoort and it is close to the city centre. There are 47 single rooms and 2 shared rooms. Also there is 1 room for our student manager. In total you live with 51 foreign students from all over the world. There are 3 floors and an elevator is available.
Per person there is a single bed with a mattress, a pilow and a duvet, a wardrobe, a table and chair, desklights and wastebins. Sometimes there is extra furniture like an old sofa or side table left by other students.
There is one big common room and one big kitchen with lots of cookers, fridges, freezers and cooking utensils (pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc.). All is shared by 51 students. Each corridor has its own shared unit with showers and toilets and there are washing machines and dryers available.
In the common room there is a television, there is no tv connection in your room. Bikes can be put behind a fence under a roof. There is no parking space for students' cars. It will take you approximately 5 minutes to bike to the city centre and 15 minutes to Zernike University area.
Rent per month all in: single rooms € 353,- and shared rooms € 282,- per person including wireless internet. Single rooms are around 15m2, the shared rooms are about 25 m2.
