Blekerslaan has been an International Student House for many years. It is located in a popular students quarter of Groningen, the Oosterpoort and it is close to the city centre. There are 47 single rooms and 2 shared rooms. There is also a room for our student manager. In total you live with 51 foreign students from all over the world. There are 3 floors and an elevator is available.
Unit
Per person there is a single bed with a mattress, a wardrobe, a table and chair, desk lights and waste bins. Sometimes there is extra furniture like an old sofa or side table left by other students.
Kitchen & Common room
Each corridor has its own shared unit with showers and toilets and there are washing machines and dryers available. There is one common kitchen, shared with 51 other students.
In the common room there is a television, there is no TV connection in your room. Bikes can be put behind a fence under a roof. There is no parking space for cars. It will take you approximately 5 minutes to bike to the city centre and 15 minutes to the Zernike University area.
Rent
Rent per month from the first of August 2011 all in: Single rooms € 366,- and shared rooms € 292,- per person including wireless internet. Single rooms are around 15m2, the shared rooms are about 25m2.
Personal inventory package
Please note that we do not supply our rooms with a personal inventory package as of 1 July 2012. You can order your kitchen inventory package when you fill out the application form on our website. Please also check our section 'information tenants'.
You may rent a sealed bed linen packet, with a sheet cover, a duvet cover and a pillow case for € 18,50 per stay. You will pay this amount with your first month rent. The rented bed linen should be handed in upon leaving.
